BTS ARE BACK WITH A BANG – ARIRANG LANDS AT #1, OLIVIA DEAN CONTINUES TO TOP SINGLES CHART

Korean boy band BTS go straight to the top of the Top 40 Albums Chart with their latest release, ARIRANG. It’s the act’s fifth NZ #1 album, and their first to drop since all seven members completed their mandatory South Korean military service. Olivia Dean continues in the #1 spot on the Singles Chart with ‘Man I Need’, having first reached #1 with the track back in September 2025. BTS also top the Hot 40 with their single ‘Swim’, which lands at #10 on the main Singles Chart.

Te Wehi and Hori Shaw maintain their lead on the Aotearoa Top 20 Singles Chart with ‘Catch A Wave’. Other than Six60 and Lorde, the East Coast phenomena have held the top spot, either together or solo, since this time last year. Hori also lands his fifth Aotearoa Hot 20 #1 – and third as a solo artist – this wiki, with his latest banger ‘It’s A Good Day’.

Six60’s Right Here Right Now chalks up another week at #1 on the Aotearoa Albums Top 20 – the release has now spent more weeks at #1 than the group’s previous two studio albums. ‘Tōku Reo Tōku Ohooho’ stays at #1 and passes a 71st week on the Tukutahi Tiketike 10 Te Reo Māori.
