Hamilton-based Son & Water, aka singer Daimond Porima-Ferguson and his father, Kiwi reggae legend Jamey Ferguson (co-founder of Katchafire), have been on quite the chart run in the last year. With five Aotearoa Top20 and one Te Reo Māori Top10 appearances since January 2025, they add another this week with their reggae-infused take on The Eagles' classic Hotel California. The song tops both the Hot40 Singles and Aotearoa Hot20 Singles, and enters the Aotearoa Top20 at #2, just behind fellow reggae champions Hori Shaw and Te Wehi who return to the top spot with Ready To Ride.
