MICHAEL, ELLA LEAD TOP 40 – MARLON’S MOMENT CONTINUES ON LOCAL CHARTS

Michael: Songs From The Motion Picture OST returns to #1 on the Top 40 Albums Chart after a two-week gap, and Ella Langley continues her run at the top of the Singles Chart with ‘Choosin' Texas’.

Marlon Williams holds at #1 on the Aotearoa Albums Chart with his Album of the Year Tūī-winning Te Whare Tīwekaweka, after returning to the top of the Chart with the release last week. Having spent 72 weeks on the Tukutahi Tiketike 10 Te Reo Māori since entering the Chart in January 2025, the Single of the Year Tūī-winning ‘Aua Atu Rā’ finally arrives at #1. All up, seven waiata from Te Whare feature in the Te Reo Māori Top 10.

Hori Shaw and Te Wehi track ‘Ready To Ride’ spends a 32nd week at #1 on the Aotearoa Singles Chart. Fresh from his Best Roots Artist and Breakthrough Artist of the Year wins at the 2026 Aotearoa Music Awards, Te Wehi holds an additional six songs in the Top 20, including another Hori Shaw collab ‘Catch A Wave’ (#3).

Ariana Grande grabs her 20th Hot Chart #1 with ‘hate that i made you love me’, the lead single from her forthcoming eighth album Petal. Grande has topped the Chart more than any other artist. Over on the Aotearoa Hot 20, Cassie Henderson claims her third #1 with ‘It’s A Wonder’.
