OLIVIA DEAN HOLDS AT #1 ON TOP 40, SIX60 & MARLON WILLIAMS CLAIM AOTEAROA #1s
Olivia Dean continues to hold all Christmas classics at bay on the Top 40, ticking off a 12th week at #1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Man I Need’, and an 8th week leading the Albums Chart with The Art Of Loving.
Six60 claim their 17th Aotearoa Top 20 #1 this wiki, with their latest single ‘We Made It’ – the group have more #1 singles on the Chart than any other act. The track bumps Hori Shaw and Te Wehi from the top spot after a run of 11 consecutive weeks at #1 (17 in total) with ‘Ready To Ride', and takes Six60 to the top of the Hot 40 for the 8th time – more than any other group, international or local – and to #1 on the Aotearoa Hot 20 for the 19th time.
Meanwhile, Marlon Williams returns to the top of the Aotearoa Albums Chart with Te Whare Tīwekaweka after a 24-week gap, the record's sixth week at #1 on the Chart in total. The record is chased by two of the other biggest albums of 2025, namely Lorde's Virgin (#2), and the Aotearoa Songbook (#3), meaning two of this week's top three albums are fully waiata reo Māori.
The biggest of hits from the waiata reo success story that is the Aotearoa Songbook, ‘Tōku Reo Tōku Ohooho’ holds at #1 for another week, and all other tracks in the Chart – including Marlon Williams' 'Aua Atu Rā' and 'Kāhore He Manu E' (feat. Lorde) maintain their previous week’s position.
