OLIVIA RODRIGO CLAIMS DOUBLE HONOURS IN THE TOP40, TE WEHI DOES THE AOTEAROA DOUBLE

Olivia Isabel Rodrigo tops both the Top40 Albums (Kōpae Tiketike 40 Ōkawa) and Top40 Singles (Tukutahi Tiketike 40 Ōkawa) Charts this week as the 23-year-old Californian's third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, leaves the competition in the dust.

The success follows a familiar path to 2021's Sour and 2023's Guts, each of which debuted at the top of the chart. Lead single stupid song becomes Olivia's fourth #1 single in New Zealand in five years and her tenth Hot Chart-topper.

With 13 songs in this week's Singles Chart, she beats her previous record of 12 entries with 2023's Guts LP.

On the local front, Te Wehi also secures dual honours - his solo album I'm Home topping the Aotearoa Top20 Albums Chart (Kōpae Tiketike 20 Ōkawa o Aotearoa) and his platinum collaboration with Hori Shaw, Ready To Ride, maintaining its position at the sharp end of the Aotearoa Singles Chart (Tukutahi Tiketike 20 Ōkawa o Aotearoa).

The Aotearoa Hot20 Chart (Tukutahi Arotini 20 o Aotearoa) finds Auckland DJ duo Lee Mvtthews (or Tom Lee and Graham Matthews) at #1 with U&I. For UK singer Raphaella it's her third appearance on the Hot Charts having previously charted with Belgian DJ Andromedik (on Hold Me In Heaven) and UK hitmaker Friction (By Your Side).

Mānawa Maiea Matariki by TAWAZ and collaborators Stan Walker, Hone, HERA, Hops, Neps And Rani returns to #1 on the Te Reo Māori Top10 (Tukutahi Tiketike 10 Te Reo Māori). It's just the third week on top for the song, having spent two weeks there upon release back in June last year.
