OLIVIAGEDDON: RODRIGO MAKES A BID FOR #1, DEAN HOLDS STRONG

Olivia Dean holds at #1 on both the Albums and Singles Top 40 this week, despite Olivia Rodrigo emerging as a contender on the Singles Top 40 with ‘drop dead’. That track lands at #3 on the Chart, behind Dean’s ‘Man I Need’ and ‘Rein Me In’ (with Sam Fender).

Rodrigo scores her eighth Hot 40 #1 with the tune however, ahead of local artist Te Wehi who enters the Chart at #2 with his latest track ‘Mama Don’t Cry’ – which does crack the top spot on the Aotearoa Hot 20.

Te Wehi is back on top on the Aotearoa Top 20 Singles Chart too; his AMA-nominated collaboration with Hori Shaw, ‘Ready To Ride’ has spent more weeks at #1 than any other duo in the history of the local Charts (26).

Six60 continue to lead the Aotearoa Albums Chart with Right Here Right Now, and Te Matatini & Te Kuru Marutea emerging classic ‘Kei Wareware i a Tātou’ holds steady atop the Tukutahi Tiketike 10 Te Reo Māori.
