TATE MCRAE LANDS DEBUT TOP 40 #1 SINGLE WITH ‘HOUSEWIFE’, SON & WATER LEAD LOCAL CHARTS
It’s Tate McRae’s turn at the top – the Canadian singer-songwriter lands her debut #1 single this week, with ‘Housewife’. Justin Bieber is the only other Canadian to have topped the Chart in the last six years. Olivia Dean’s The Art Of Loving remains at #1 on the Albums Top 40 – the LP hasn’t dropped below #4 on the Chart since it was released more than a year ago.
Son & Water top the Aotearoa Singles Chart with ‘SAW’ – and has done so for three of the last four weeks. The group also return to the top of the Aotearoa Albums Chart with Still Burning after a one-week gap, while albums from Sulfate (#3), 4 Corners (#8), and G.F.N.R (#10) also enter the Chart. Myshaan and Te Wehi grab the Aotearoa Hot 20 #1 this wiki, with ‘Long Way Home’. It’s their first #1 on the Chart as a duo, but the third for Myshaan and a 13th for Te Wehi overall.
Over on the Hot 40, a new collab from Kalman Chodakiewitz, Eli Shiffman and Petite Meller leads the way. The track is one of four from the soundtrack to Netflix' Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (Season 2) to appear in the Chart this week.
TAWAZ, Stan Walker, Hone and friends can’t be budged from the tihi of Te Tukutahi Tiketike 10 Te Reo Māori – ‘Mānawa Maiea Matariki’ holds strong in the peak position for a 19th wiki.
